Kripparrian is a professional gamer. He was a top pro at “World of Warcraft” and now he is trying to dominate Diablo 3. He plays pretty much only barbarian so he knows a lot about this class and I am sure that you will benefit from this build.
Remember to read description of each skill because I explain why Kripp decided to use this skill and how you should use it. This will help you to understand not only this build better but also entire game. Thanks to that you will became better player. CLICK HERE for THE BEST Diablo 3 Barbarian Guide
1. Primary
- “Frenzy”
Swing for 110% weapon damage. Frenzy attack speed increases by 15% with each swing. This effect can stack up to 5 times for a total bonus of 75% attack speed.
Rune”
- “Sidearm”
Each strike has a 25% chance to throw a piercing axe at a nearby enemy that deals 110% weapon damage to all enemies in its path.
The biggest reason why you should take this skill is because Frenzy has high life per hit benefit due to the 75% increase of the attack speed. Simply when you have gear with life per hit statistic you can pretty much heal yourself during fight. This is perfect for the Hell/Inferno level and long fights against elite monsters.
Alternative For Normal/Nightmare
- “Bash”
Brutally smash an enemy for 150% weapon damage with a 20% chance to Knockback.<
Rune
- “Clobber”
Instead of Knockback, each hit has a 35% chance to Stun the target for 1.5 seconds.
2. Secondary
- “Leap”
Leap into the air, dealing 85% weapon damage to all enemies within 8 yards of your destination and slowing their movement speed by 60% for 3 seconds.
Rune
- “Iron impact”
Gain 300% additional Armor for 4 seconds after landing.
Second skill in this barbarian build is your escape skill. This is kind of skill that allows you to run away when you close to death or surrounded by enemies.
Leap/Iron impact – this skill gives you 300% more armor for 3 seconds. This is just perfect when you want to run away with low health. Not only you get great mobility and you can “jump” from the danger you get additional huge boost to your armor. Also it has only 10 second cooldown so you can use it frequently.
Alternative
- “Furious Charge”
Rune
Rush forward knocking back enemies and inflicting 195% weapon damage to enemies along the path of the charge.
- “Dreadnought”
Regain 8% of your maximum Life for each target hit by Furious Charge.
Perfect skill to just run away from enemies and re-gen almost all hp. Especially when you will have more hp like 50K or even 70 to re-gen your heath you will need regeneration based on percentages not on points (like potions). One charge through big group of enemies and you got full health back again.
The problem with this skill is that sometimes there is not really that many monsters available to charge them. When you are surrounded you can “charge through” two/three monsters and thats all. Not really big boost in heath from hitting two monsters. Also you can block yourself on chest/piles of bones/walls or even mobs that can’t be charged. On the other hand you can charge and not get frozen by elite monsters. This skill require accuracy and quick thinking and is much harder to use then Leap/Iron impact.
3. Rage
- “Wrath of the berserker”
Enter a berserker rage which raises several attributes for 15 seconds.
Critical Hit Chance: 10%
Attack Speed: 25%
Dodge Chance: 20%
Movement Speed: 20%<
Rune
- “Insanity”
While active your damage is also increased by 100%.
Absolutely perfect skill for Barbarian for different defensive and offensive reasons. I don’t even have to mention boost to critical chance/attack speed/damage/movement speed etc. Many people doesn’t know that with WotB you can break from crow control spells like “frozen” “fear” etc. Also you are immune to the all crowd control abilities when WotB is active. Whenever you will see elite monsters with “freezing” abilities you can just activate skill and kill them easily. Great great skill that you can use in many different situations from killing elite monsters to running away from danger.
4. Might
- “Revenge”
Revenge has a 15% chance to become active each time you are hit.
Inflict 220% weapon damage to all nearby enemies. You heal 5.0% of your maximum Life for each enemy hit.
Rune
- “Provocation”
Increases the chance Revenge will become active to 30% each time you are hit by an attack.
This is absolutely basic skill. Whenever you are hit you get chance to heal yourself and damage enemies. Simply perfect for Barbarian. There is no reason to not take this skill or take it with other rune then Provocation.
5. Tactics
- “War Cry”
Unleash a rallying cry to increase Armor for you and all allies within 50 yards by 20% for 60 seconds.
Rune
- “Impunity/Hardened Wrath/ Invigorate”
This skill is great when you lack of some statistics. Perhaps you have good armor and heath regeneration but you do not have that great resistances. You simply use War Cry/Impunity and you get 50% increase to all resistances. Same thing when you have low armor. Use Hardened Wrath and you get 40% bonus. Simple and great way when you have problems with your items. Invigorate rune on the other hand is perfect when you are playing with group.
6. Rage
- “Earthquake”
Shake the ground violently, dealing 2000% weapon damage as Fire over 8 seconds to all enemies within 18 yards.
- “The Mountain’s Call”
Removes the Fury cost and reduces the cooldown to 75 seconds.
2000% weapon damage. Combine it with Wrath of The Berserker and you got just incredible amounts of damage. Just pure damage booster that will help you kill everything within seconds even at Inferno. Find group of mobs or elite pack and just activate this and they will melt like butter.
Passives
- “Superstition”
You just can’t take something else then this passive. Reducing damage by 20% I great and fury regeneration is even better.
- “Nerves of Steel”
Gives you just much more armor.
- “Brawler”
Perfect when you are surrounded by enemies so pretty much all the time at Hell/Inferno.
- “Tough as Nails”
This is always good alternative for Inferno mode. Another boost to armor so you can stay alive.
Summary
You can see that this Barbarian build is designed to survive Inferno. However I am sure that you use it also at Nightmare/Hell. CLICK HERE for THE BEST Diablo 3 Barbarian Guide
